Basketball Hoops (UPDATE)Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
3/4/2010 9:45 PM
The hoops will be reinstalled on Friday, weather permitting.

Thanks to our junior neighborhood watch committee that noticed and reported that one of the basketball hoops was missing.
When I went to install new nets on the hoops, I noticed that the hoops were starting to exhibit a fair amount of rust. So, I decided to take them down, clean, prime and paint. They will be put back up as soon as I am confident of the cure on the paint. Can't guarantee it will be by this weekend though.
Thanks for your patience and agin thanks to our junior watch committee.
Hillsboro City Council Transportation Subcommittee Meeting to discuss issues affecting Orenco Gardens - Tuesday, February 23, 2010, 6pm, Hillsboro Civic Center.Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
2/10/2010 10:37 PM

Issues to be discussed include:

Cornelius Pass Road Closure - Per Tina Bailey (Hillsboro Public Works Dept.) – The Cornelius Pass Road Closure is planned from June 2010 - December 2010 between Baseline Road and (north of) Quatama Road. The primary detour route will run along 231st Avenue which borders Orenco Gardens. No new signals are planned on 231st Ave. but the beacon at 231st and Alder may be converted to a pedestrian-activated signal. Signals at 231st and Cornell will be re-timed to accommodate increased traffic.

• The city is also negotiating to purchase the right-of-way to extend 60th Avenue at the south end of the Orenco Gardens neighborhood to connect to Oelrich Road and provide a new connection to both 231st and Baseline.

A more detailed update will be provided at the meeting. For general information on the project, please refer to the following link:
